Happy 50th Independence Day, Malaysia! :)
Saya Anak Malaysia! :) I'm proud of Malaysia. Really. So don't come up to me and bull* about this country.
If there's anything I can't stand, it's people hating their own country.
"Omg, it's so backward, it's so lameeeee!" Yes, Malaysia isn't the most advanced country I know. We still have room for improvement. And I believe God is doing something great for our nation :) We're half a century old!
Anyway,
Awesome news: Remember I blogged about how tiring and exhausting it was practicing for the High School Musical Dance Competition? Yeah. We won. Ahaaa. Out of 23 teams in the northern region! So there are like, four winners in Malaysia for all regions. And we're one of em! So you get to vote for us on www.disneychannel-asia.com from 9th to 23rd of September and also watch us during the premiere of High School Musical 2 on the 9th of September! Nice huh :P
Moving on, I know i haven't been blogging for the whole one-week holiday. So here's what I did. A review of every single day. (:
Saturday- Parent-Leader Meet in church, as I've already showed you the pictures in the last post. And SNL after that.
Sunday- We went for the Sunday morning service. The Youths were in charged of EVERYTHING. Really really awesome. Went to Joel's house after that. Fooled around with his Mac, TV, guitar and everything. Haha that brat. Tskk. At night, Joel, SiuKeong, Aaron, QingLing, my sis and I went to church for some Indonesian band thing. Omgsh they were SO awesome, the drums and bass were so frgn loud. And we stayed till about uhm 10-ish? 11-ish? Yeah. Joel dropped us home, and that was it (:
Monday & Tuesday- Cheer practice the WHOLE day. Trust me when i say the whole day. Haha :P
Wednesday- THE ACTUAL HSM DANCE COMPETITION! :O Charis was there! XXX
Took digital prints at some photobooth thing. (: And we had the most number of supporters too! They wrote 69 but there were more than that x) Aha. Our parents were more excited than us, seriously. Anyway I'll stop stalling and tell you that we won. Haha i'm so anti-climatic, i know :P WE WON! Aha, there you go :P It was a huge thing, as there were schools all the way from Ipoh like Ipoh International School and more, and besides the point that we're one of the ONLY FOUR teams in Malaysia in the finals :) So we had to stay back with the crew and dance again for the actual premiere. After dancing for like about a gazillion times for the camera's close shot, full shot, and whatever, we had to say "Vote for us, Malaysia" for about a gazillion times too. Haha. I like exaggerating. :) And then there was the interview. We won lots of goodies too! Yay. :P It was approaching night time when the sound and media crew decided they'll call it a wrap. Everyone was pooped, but my sis and I went for the Unleashed Conference/Concert in The Realm Church with Nicky, Pragas, Joel, Aaron, Moy, QingLing, and more. Haha. It was beyond awesome. The prayer session, people were getting touched by the Holy Spirit, people were getting healed, they were falling onto the ground, crying, shouting and everything. It was awesome the way God moved that night, and it just proves to me even more that God is real. =)
Thursday- Lazed around at home. I deserve a break too, y'know :P
Friday- Youth outing! Woooo. Went to the beach with the youths, about 20+ of us. :) It was really fun. Except for the fact that I got hit by the ball TWICE during captain ball. Haha it was funny besides the fact that my lip was bleeding. Haha yes, lip injury again. :P And I got thrown into the sea. Grrr. Thanks to SiuKeong and TerMin. Those guys are devils, I tell you :P Haha. Then we wanted to walk to this particular stony part further from the shore. So yeah, we went. And the guys were joking about baptizing TerMin or something :\
Samuel: In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, ...
See the rocks behind Sern's head? Yeah. We wanted to get there. It was quite far, I took this picture when I was already waist-high in the water. The walk/swim there was quite a journey as there were moss on the ground, and as clear as the water is, I couldn't see my feet! Anyway, Samuel was the first one to reach, then Daniel.
Haha Samuel being Samuel, he was dancing alone on the rocks. All the guys who were guiding and carrying us, decided to abandon us to join Samuel and Daniel. Haha :P They stripped and sunbathed on the rocks and it was a very disturbing sight. Lol. Then we went back to the beach, and washed up. The guys did it openly behind the tree. The girls were taking turns in the van changing, two in the van while the rest of the girls holding up newspapers around the van. Ohgosh, we took FOREVER. Haha. It wasn't easy! We went for lunch and SiuKeong dropped us home.

Saturday- St. George's Girls' School Interact Installation! :) Wooot. Most people arrived on time, and we're proud to say that we were only 5 minutes behind time. Aha. Jan assigned me as the MC at the VERY last minute. When I say last minute, I mean last MINUTE :P Haha. I guess it's okay since I didn't help with the organizing. Haha :P I reckon I did a pretty good job although I was shouting into the microphone 98% of the time. I'm naturally loud. Sue me. Anyway, it was awesome! I'm glad to say that everyone danced during the freedance session. And we even had a slowdance session! My first slowdance with a dude apart from my dad! Haha! Danced with Jan, Nick and Jeff (: It was nice and we made complete fools out of ourselves :P We played the 'New Friend Found' game too! It was fun, but people kept losing their partners :\ Oh well. So that was that. Sggs' Installation 2007 :)
Later in the afternoon, Kelvin fetched me to church. Saturday was the day all the youths had to dress up in their school uniform! Haha it was really fun. Even people who left school LONG ago dressed up in school uniform! Haha -cough- :P :P Oh yeah, it was my solo dance performance too. Get this. I've NEVER danced a SLOW BALLET-ISH dance in front of a crowd ALONE before. I was really shaking. Haha. I completely blanked out during the last few verses, and I had to make my own steps on the spot! Haha it was weird, but whatever. :P Then we had a guest speaker, who specialized in homosexuals or something. And it was an eye-opening and very open-minded sermon. Mmhmm after that, we took many many pictures and went for supper :)
Sunday- SiuKeong fetched my sis and I for Sunday morning service, and on the way, he got a message which said that Ian Lim, who was diagnosed with brain tumour about 7 months back, passed away. Well, the sad thing was that Ian's just 14 years old. But at least we know that he's in an awesome awesome place now. :)
A tribute to him in Pragas' blog. He truly fought a brave battle to survive the worst physical and mental agony that a person can ever encounter for 7 long months.
Anyway, we went for Sunday service, which talks about our attitudes and feelings before God, and to not feel anxious :) then lunch with Pragas, Nicky, Joel, SiuKeong and my sis. Then we went to Ian's place for his funeral. We even saw him in his coffin, looking so peaceful. Oh well. Pragas dropped us back and that was the day :)
Fuhhh. That was a LONG post. LONG doesn't even describe it. It's.. it's.. well, long. Excuse the limitation of vocabulary. Brain's not functioning. Heh. I think i deserve something for this long post, which took me more than 2 hours to type and well, do other things at the same time. :P Haha all in all, it's still 2 hours.
Ohh. I have the best gift for myself, in the name of blogging. x)

Woooot. :) Pralines&Cream, Maui Brownie Madness.
31%! Aha. Comfort food, people. Comfort food x) Bhahaha.
