FRIDAY
It was our school's annual 'Saringan' thing, where students compete before competing on Sports Day. At least I THINK that's what it is. Heh haven't been getting the latest 411 in school affairs. Bahh!
Went to school early in the morning, and had cheer practice in the gym. Showered in school; no that wasn't a typo. Our school's showers are really nice! Haha :P
Then waited for the bus. Went to look for people who were participating in the Saringan thingo.
Sweaty people :PSaid our goodbyes, and hugged everyone like a million times. Haha I still love them even though they're sweaty and wanted to tear off my shirt which said "
Two Boyfriends Are Better Than One" :P :P Which is not true, by the way. Yes, I contradict myself. A lot.
The journey down to KL took a painstaking 8 hours. Truthfully, I don't really mind as the saying goes Better late than never :) The driver was great, except for the air conditioning! I was FREEZING to my bones, and was cuddling Janice the entire time. Haha =)

Reached the place we're gonna put up at, which is apparently some 'high class' international hostel for athletes. It was WHOAHHH. It wasn't a hostel, in my honest opinion; more like hotel :|

Had an enjoyable & memorable 20-minute walk to some mall, and had dinner there. Took loads of pictures on the way.
CHEER CAMP 2008
Woke up at 4:50am just to rush for the bathroom, considering my dislike for wet bathrooms. Don't you roll your eyes at me, I just like being the first to use the bathroom :)
Off we left for the Cheer workshop at Segi College. Oh boy, is it BEAUTIFUL. Yes folks, I just described a college as beautiful. Seriously though, it was :D
Also uhh, starstruck -if i could say that- by the
CHARM Cheer Team. After hearing so much about them, you can NOT be shrugging your shoulders and be all casual when you see them :P HAHA.
Went around and mingle while the other teams arrived. Met some people from Sri KDU, and told them we loved their school. Aha. Who doesn't?! :)
The workshop kicked start with
dance warm up, led by this amazing gym choreographer. The moves were.. uhm WOW. Haha she was all "
Show off that ass!" and "
We are girls, and we want to show off our assets, yes or no?" Lmao. So that pretty much summed it up for the dance warm up. And that was only warm up, mind you. Haha :)
Had horrendous
stretching, led by CHARM All Stars cheerleaders whose bodies are flexible to the extent that.. nevermind. You get it. Then we got into
Jumps,
Cheer & Chants, and also Dance. CHARM's head cheerleader was leading this, as he introduced us to different dance styles such as
Broadway, Disco and others; as he thought HipHop is overrated and too commonly used. I couldn't deny that, and I personally think that Malaysia has so much room to improve where dance is concerned. What happened to
Broadway, Musicals, Latin, etc?
He made us semi-choreograph our own dance moves, individually and perform them as a team, UNPLANNED. The theme was jazz, so it was easier, with all the jazz hands and sharp accentuated movements. Very nice, and we had to think fast. On second thought, there wasn't even time to think, more like free (jazz themed) dance.
One of the most fun-filled part of the day was
Stunts. Oh mann, the so extremely experienced CHARM cheerleaders are insane, I tell you. Also, they have the best well-trained flyers and bases. It was led by this comical guy cheerleader, who was all "
You're stunting, it's extremely dangerous, so pay attention. Talk? Never! Unless I let you talk. Which is neverrr!" Haha CHARM is just such an enjoyable team to be part of, although they're just our coach for the day.
We had stunt requests, and the demo-ers just did whatever we requested. They never fail to impress, honestly. Whatever mad combination of stunts you can think of, they have already thought of them, to say the least :)
Completed the 9 hour workshop FINALLY and of course, reluctantly.
Went back by bus, and I'm telling you, this is a SMALL SMALL SMALL world. At TAPAH, of all places, I met
DAVID, of all people. Haha. David, my elementary school friend, whom I saw recently actually. But still :) Chatted and caught up with each other for a bit, and then continued the journey back to Penang.
Drama after drama; the bus's tire got punctured, and it took -Get This.- FOUR HORRENDOUSLY LONG HOURS to get it changed. Reached home at 5am; was exhausted to the core.
