PROM 08

No doubt a beautiful night; complete with beautiful Georgians. It was definitely different to see your everyday-uniform-clad schoolmates appear in beautiful gowns and donning extravagant make up. Everyone looked dazzling; all plucked, waxed, made up and all ravishing ;)

Everyone was rushing to get as many pictures as they can into their cameras, as it is our last highschool prom! Blinding camera flashes, a fixed smile&grin, the wind blowing in our hair; ruining our hairdo, but we don't care (Ooh it rhymes :P), hugs given & received, compliments being thrown around, the occasional "Ohmygoodness, you look amaaaazingggg!" and just light hearted fun.

It took awhile for everyone to get into the ballroom, as there was too little time for us than we wished we had.
After everyone was seated, and the doors were closed, there was the usual procedure; speeches. It took quite some time, but after it was over, it was the food presentation. I feel the compelling need to blog about this, as it was so adorable! Yes, food presentations are normally tacky, with all the dancing and trying-too-hard-to-impress formations. But this was a James Bond theme, with the waiters wearing sunglasses. Very cute.

Then, the award ceremony. This, I have no comment (:
Performances by Georgians; a contemporary Indian dance which was amazing, a modern+jazz number by Andrea and dancers from her academy - jaw dropping; loved the energy, cheerleading by Vivacious! I was yelling my head off, and got a few glares from a certain teacher*, but I didn't care. It was a SPECTACULAR performance, they've improved a whole lot; beautiful toetouches, hurkeys & pikes, basket tosses, creative pyramids. I am not exaggerating, there were many difficult stunts.
Awesome duets by Daniel & Rachel, Oliver & Nabihah. Awe-struck. Jaw dropping. Fantastic. Nabihah sounded like Belle from Beauty & The Beast. No joke :|
There was a lucky draw too! (: Carol; oh lucky lucky Carol; won an iPod Shuffle :D Wooohoooo. And Mon got err.. a *heh* file & stationaries :P Hilarious moment when she opened it at the hotel room that night; while Carol was having a bubblebath. Haha "Omg Mon! An iPod!" :P *screams*

Awesome video compilation by CherYin (: Random videos of us talking, making funny faces, commenting, class pictures, etc. Haha Mei, I don't think anyone heard you saying the word. Thank God *cough* :P CherYin didn't censor it! Lol :P

OH, then it was time for.. the announcement of the nominees of Belle Of The Night! Translated; Prom Queen (:
Some names we were like.. ":| Okay." And some we cheered our heads off. i.e., MeiYen! :D

"They announced the nominees for Belle of the Night and along with the others, i cheered, clapped and woohoo-ed as the nominees made their way on stage. The next thing i know, my name was called! Totally surprised i was. Lol. [Very] self conscious and flushed with all those pairs of eyes on me, i walked up to the stage and stood there among many other pretty ladies. :] We were asked a question each and then had to do some modelling, with a fruit. I picked the dragonfruit. :D" - MeiYen (:

I MUST add that she modelled her skinny ass off! It was a whoah moment ;) Very nice strut, being poised and all :P

Belle Of The Night `08.

Yup. More about her feelings during that moment and all the little drama in between, visit her blog.
Due to our surprise, our vice principal gave approval for a free dance! Everyone was seriously high, albeit the absence of alcohol :P At first it was on the floor, then they took it to the STAGE :| We just went with the flow, aha :P Enjoyable time!

He got onto his knees when he saw me after like.. 2 months! :P
