Okay I think I better complete my final American Idol Season 7 Post :) How anti climatic of me, but err.. David Cook won! :P HAHHA *crowd looks at each other questionably* Shut up, people.
Anyways, went to Carol's with Mon, Jan, Weena and Mei to watch the finale & have our very own scream fest :D I have one thing to highlight: Surprises are bad for health. I think I deafened Mon's ear when Ryan announced the results. Oh my goodness, we were screaming and tearing up for like 10 whole minutes before we could actually discuss the results :P Haha drama queens. Ed note: I just wanted to apologize for bad predictions a few posts back. Who would've thought my darling would actually win? Heh :D Considering the gazillion-member fanbase of Archudorable :) So.. my feelings that Cookie won? I'm not very happy for Arch. And it's not just because I predicted wrongly, mind you. It's just that based on the finale performance, (without a doubt) I reckon Arch is winning, and Clive Davis is making a shrine out of him in his living room. Total knock out, all three performances of his :)
But still, I'm feeling ecstatic that Cook won. I will definitely buy his debut album :)
So there you go! A wrap up of Season 7. The whole thing repeats itself next year ;)
OMG. WTH. OHMY. !!!!!!!!! Hello. (: That was.. WHAT ON EARTH WAS THAT?! Okay I'm not against it just because I predicted the results wrongly. Okay, maybe it is. But hello?! Did anyone watch that disasterous finale?! Geez. Nightmare. Oh, the turqouise stuffies are typed by Miss Monica-I-Am-Belting-Out-David A's-Song-Shenton :P Hello, again :D REPLAY THE DAMN SONG KAI. good girl X) Kai just called me scary. :S OH WELL. Oooh Oooh Oooh Grammar Police!!! *GRIN* IN THIS MOMENT... NO ONE CAN TAKE IT FROM ME... Mon, the point here being..? :\ We were like tearing up, at the edge of cutting our wrists. Scratch that. I love David Cook. Great, glad I got that over with. But I think Archudorable totally owned it last night. "110%" - Randy J :P *SOB* Jan didn't make me a list :( Anyway :D DAVID COOK WON??? CAN ANYONE SAY WHAT THE HELL??? WHAT THE HELL??? *GRIN* :D You're lame. My INITIAL POINT being, I forgot it. Damn you woman -.- OH oh oh ! I remembered. My right ears deafened by Kai's screaming during the announcement of the result. Wait wait. It was already deafened by Miss Janina, when she screamed Kai's name. So, conclusion: all of this goes back to Kai. *turns to glare at Kai* Damn. She really did glare :\ Oh, Mon, I'm petrified. You should be. O.o My first time ever writing on Kai's blog. Ah huh! Ooohh YEAH! By the way, the name is Weena ;) Wow, I'm still having that weirdass one-eye-bigger-than-the-other look We're playing charades. Its super tough.
Oh hello :) We wrote all that like a billion hours ago. Now we're playing charades. Will continue blogging later :) Monica's awfully good at this. Guessing :P Alright. Love.
If you, like me, have watched every frame of this season’s “American Idol,” your eyeballs have endured 50 hours of highs, lows and hell-to-the-no’s. But we still have a few more hours to go, “Idol” fans, and they’re arguably the most important of all! That’s right. Bust out the sappy ballads, load up the confetti cannons and if you’re Randy Jackson, dust off your military jacket because it’s “Idol” finale time, baby!
Haha, American Idol Finale was definitely a refreshing change from the same ones for the past 6 seasons ;) Starting off with Michael Buffer announcing "The fight of the century", this episode hammered the idea of Boxing & Sports into the American Idol Final Showdown :P Haha sorry, I just like the way it sounded :P :P
Rather than opening with the traditional cheesy medley, Buffer kicked off the show by announcing Cook, who took the stage in a red satin robe and boxing gloves. "Introducing first, in the red corner, weighing in at 180 pounds: He's the real deal (hell yeah :P), from Blue Springs, Missouri. He's David 'Sugarfoot' Cook!"
Cookie, with his hair spiked up in an ohiamsomelting hairdo, gamely played along, bouncing on his toes and doing some shadow boxing as he kissed his gloves and walked to center stage.
"And his opponent, in the blue corner, weighing around 100 pounds (LOL), soaking wet: He's the humble pride of Murray, Utah. Ladies and gentlemen, David 'Baby Face' Archuleta." Looking like he was wearing his dad's oversize robe, the perpetually grinning crooner raised his hands and gave a half-hearted air punch before shuffling over to touch gloves with Cookie :D Lol David A just looks very out of place there. Hahah! :P
"Two men with one name and one desire, to be crowned champion. Their prize: a heavyweight title reserved only for superstars. Tonight, they go head to head for three rounds with the eyes of the nation fixed on their every move. Their ring: a 7,000-seat theater in the neon glow of downtown." - Ryan S.
CookOMeter. I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For - U2 [Amazing performance to kick off the night, it got me so hyped up! So excited :D] Randy J loved the end note, though he said C might not have done everything he could have with the song. Paula said C had "arrived." Simon said that despite what he perceived as nerves at the top of the song, the singer was "phenomenal."
Dream Big - I don't know who. Damn :\ [I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SONG! He definitely rocked it. Definitely. Shut up, Randy :P] Randy didn't love the song, but complimented C for "singing your face off." Paula said he took a song no one knew and made everyone fall in love with it, while Simon dubbed the performance "lightweight." Though the tune was supposed to be a winner, he lamented, "It didn't feel like a winning moment for me."
The World I Know - Collective Soul Randy said the mellow ballad showed another side of C and was exactly the kind of record he should make after the show. Paula told C he was standing on stage "in your truth and delivering unbelievable songs with integrity and originality." Simon praised Cook as one of the "nicest and most sincere" contestants in the show's history. But though he liked the song, Cowell said it was "completely and utterly" the wrong choice for this stage in the competition.
ArchOMeter Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me- Elton John [I loved this so much, I was screaming into the phone with Mon. Oh goodness. It was phenomental] "This is one of the best performances of the season and unbelievably molten hot. Crazy vocals!" Randy. Paula chimed in with another song-title cliché, telling the nearly bawling Arch that "the sun is never going to go down on you, because you bring out so much sunshine." Simon took things down, and cautioned everyone to chill out before telling Archuleta that the song was the best he'd done so far in the competition. "Taking everything into account, round one goes to Archuleta," Cowell said.
In This Moment [I thought this was THE song for the season. It just marked David A's peak performance of the season, IMO. & it was extremely Idol-sounding, meaning PERFECT, perfect for a finale. That song left me speechless :\ Literally.] Randy: Didn't love the song, but he did love recycling his old bit about how Archie could sing the phone book and make it work. Paula said he was "on fire." Simon told Archuleta that he definitely chose the better song. Round two: Archuleta. That left him weeping, Brooke White style :P
Imagine- John Lennon (again) "Dude, you are so good tonight, you are exactly what this show is about: finding the best singer we can find and the best singer of season seven is right there!" Randy howled. Paula said she was rendered speechless by the performance, calling it "stunning." Simon seemed to complete the Archuleta coronation, saying the night was one of "the great finals" in "Idol" history. "Here's the difference," he said. "In my opinion, David, you came out here tonight to win. And what we have witnessed is a knockout."
Conclusion. Cook had the momentum coming into this week, what with all the “big” moments he’s had in the past several shows. But tonight’s song choices — especially the Collective Soul song — felt way too small compared to his past highlights. If he had performed that forgettable number two weeks ago, he probably would have gotten booted :\
But Archuleta stepped up in a crazy big way. We all knew he would sing the crappy first single well. ($5 to anyone who can hum the chorus right now.) But he did a pretty great job with the Elton John tune, and for any viewers who didn’t watch the semifinals (a.k.a. “Idol” swing voters), I’m sure they were impressed with how he handled “Imagine.”
Unless a Jeff Archuleta scandal erupts in the next 3.5 hours, Archuleta has this in the bag.
Good luck marketing that kid, Clive! Or even better: watch your back, Josh Groban!
American Idol Review from a General David A/C Fan.

Relief relief relief. After a total of more than 25 hours+ in the classroom sitting for the MidYear Examinations, it's nice to continue my American Idol fetish (not that it has ever stopped :P) with Mon The RockYourWorld Amazing without Dad coming in every 20 minutes to say "Hey Kai, I know how much you love American Idol.. BUT *insert nag here*". Oh how I hate buts & contraries :\ Hey wait, but I am a contradiction myself, so I shall not say anything further.
Don't scream, Mon. I know he looks fab here :P
Hmmm. So excited for our American Idol Finale Sleepovahhhh :D So it is down.. to TWO.
Oh yeah, the heat is definitely on, baby. Part of me doesn't want Cook to win, the reason because he'll have to succumb to the producers' choice of pop-ish Carrie Underwood-ish mainstream music, so not his style. I'm totally fine with him not winning; look how Daughtry turned out :D So yeah, with Cook's natural ability to choose the right songs and arrange them in his own style, his rich pallet of tone colours, a maddening and explosive range, & let's not forget his so frgn sincere emotion when he looks into the camera :P, he's definitely in it to win it. I'm not talking about American Idol; just y'know the music industry in general ;)
On the other hand, I love David Archuleta as well. Oh boy, do I LOVE him :P Haha. Anyone who watched & listened to his rendition of John Lennon's Imagine will know what I mean :P And he practically has the whole American Idol fanbase kissing the ground he walks on. I hope he's not stealing Cook's fans with his ohsocharming smile and dreamy eyes and his awkward while still heartmelting personality :P Okay, the point is, all those fantastic features are one thing, but once you've got the voice like David A, I will see you in the finale. Oh, and winning it.
So yes, my (and probably the whole world's) predicament is that David A is grabbing the Idol crown Season 7 ;)
"GOSHHHHH! OHHH GOSHHHH!" - David A; best quote of the entire Season 7 :P
I'm sick, & feeling so feverish, achy and beat, hence the absence in school today. I miss screaming talking to M&S about the Davids :(
Thanks for all your sweet sweet msgs, IMs & txts; Woke up in the middle of the night, checked my phone, and received 11 get well soon msgs. Awww :) How you guys know I'm sick -apart from my MSN personal msg-, is beyond me :P
I would love to give all of you a tight big big big hug, if only I can get enough disinfectant to cover my whole body, and a mask so that I won't be breathing virus into your face :)
PS/ Downloaded YouTube vids into my phone :D :D Have been watching David Cook's Music Of The Night & Always Be My Baby the whole morning. I love it. I love smiling everytime he looks into the camera. I love gushing with Mon, Sarah & ShuMei over how hot he is. I love how he got emotional after singing AlwaysBeMyBaby. I love putting his videos on loop :D PPS/ M&S, if you're feeling envious now, congratulations. You're normal -runs off laughing*
Daviddd! Oh man. The looks, the voice and the so-omgish-rollingwithlaughter-nervous-charming-AHHHH thing about him. Triple threat? ;) No doubt :D
He is so adorable, humble and uber sweet! He makes me so happy watching him perform and being interviewed by Ryan. The kind of happy which makes you grin just thinking about him being all nervous. Haha okay corny. Forget I said that :P
"You can only vote for him, you can't actually adopt him" -Ryan.
GO DAVIDDDDD! =D I wanna vote for him so badly! :(
