Hello readers!

It's been ages, I know. Thanks for rubbing it in my face :P
Nyehh. Much of the delay was because there was so much to write about, and I didn't know where to start. But I realized if this continues, then I'll never blog. Ever :\

VIVACIOUS CHEERLEADERS' FAREWELL & GET-TOGETHER 08

Kashmir Restaurant

It was so much fun. And definitely, hands down, best free dance EVER. Danced non-stop for.. whoah, really long ;) Enjoyed myself so much, and it just made me realize that all of us has gone through so much together. Through all the competitions -regionals & nationals-, the excitement and the ups & downs we went through to get to where we are today, scolding each other for one minute and then comforting and hugging each other the next, the countless roadtrips, the frenzy during pre-performance time applying make up, perfecting elevators, basket tosses, pyramids, jumps and executions, the motivational talks and cheers before a performance/competition, and just being one big psycho family ;)

Thanks for planning it all so wonderfully, all juniors ;) Big thanks to Jeslyn & Sheril for their commitment. They're so keen on making everything perfect, it's inspiring. Haha :P
The games were hilarious, everyone had an amazing time. *remembers Ada's stunt which Andrea sculpted* LOL! :P The performances by the Vivacious members! So cute. One thing I'm proud of is that they have grew from cheerleading to various types of dance like modern, hiphop, jazz, broadway, gymnastics and more. It's refreshing that cheerleaders don't just cheer and perform static movements all the time :)

Going down to KL tomorrow morning. I'm so pooped.
Very very serious sinus attack. Sleep deprived. I need a replenishing & relaxing weekend. But no, I'm going to shout, scream, cheer & fuss over the slightest things. And I'm gonna have fun getting adrenaline rushes & panic attacks. Yes, you heard me right.
Cheer 2008 Nationals on Saturday & Sunday. I've seen their practices. Maybe a tad overworked, but doing very well I reckon. Full of regret about my quitting cheerleading. All those long hours practices, getting high on the bus cheering all the way & making up hilarious cheers, team spirit the whole way through, perfecting every part of your routine, cheertalks, practicing winks, smiles & facial expressions, playing retarded games on the bus and memories made & cherished for a lifetime.

Ahhh. New on wishlist: Time Machine.
But for now, sleep beckons.

It was THE DAY. Woke up at 6.30-ish. Felt so excited, although the nervous gut feeling when I was a competitor was gone. Mom woke up before me. Lol we were all getting so frenzied busying around the house, making sure the banners and pompoms were brought ;) Woohoo.

When we reached the dome, Vivacious was the only team there! Always best to be first at the location, really (: Everyone was seriously over-excited! Even some supporters were there already, making placards and hanging up banners and all, wowzersss :O

All the Moms are always so semangat! & I love them for it.

Helped to paint on the star on the cheerleaders' faces, with LayWah & Ada. I am so good with liquid eyeliner, even if I may say so myself ;) Bhahaha.

Soon, all the teams arrived. After all the hustle and bustle, the event finally kicked off with the announcement from the amazing MCs. Ahem :) Played a few round of games, volunteers went to the mat to free dance -Sam was running to the mat like whoah :O- and get prizes (:
Then, the performances from the little rhythmic gymnasts. So hardcore ;) HAHA.

They were scary & so confidentt! Rainy, Sarah & I were OMG-ing every 5 seconds and commenting on their movements. Lmao it was hilarious :P :P Haha they are invertebrates! Seriously, no spinal chords. Left me speechless. Nuff said.

FIRST TEAM TO PERFORM.

TITANS;

the Northern Regionals' Champion for many years, the 2007 Nationals 5th placing and the 2006 Malaysian Champions. Insane, eh (: An amazing amazing amazing team.

Very impressive dance choreography. All so static and synchronized, it was whoahh (: Stunts, the usual cartwheels & roundoffs. Impressive jumps, but quirky organisation of jumps :| Pyramids were interesting, as always (: Very cool rotating-the-person on the pyramid thingy (:
Very nice overall.

Then, it was..
FORTRESS.

Lol they're so adorable! (:

They had adorable little paper hat things for props, and interesting pyramids (: Loved the choreography and the cheer. Their cheer had a sense of humour in it, very cute. Not the usual "Go, Fight, Win".

Then,
VIVACIOUSSSSSSSSSS! *insert fangirly scream*

Everyone was like screaming at every cheer, thank God it was a dome, so their cheer could be reflected easily ;) Loved the supporters! Haha execution of pyramids & jumps were perfect. Successful pyramids and the energy & spirit was infectious. Oh mann. I wish I can post up the video, but we shall wait until AFTER Nationals 2008 ;) No spoilers. Except the number of pictures up there for you readers. I LOVE MY CHEERLEADERS.

Then, the MCs were like "Okay, the first person who run here to tell me who will take home the Champions title gets a prize"
Aqi RAAAANNNNN and screamed VIVACIOUSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! x)

After many many minutes waiting, it was time for the results. :O :O
First award: Best Dressed Award!
We all thought it was gonna be Fortress, because of their very adorable Red Indian-themed outfit (: But we still shouted Vivacious anyways. HAHA :|
When in doubt, cheer ;)
Because...

Haha too bad we didn't win it last year, if not we would've gotten RM100 GAP vouchers! Grrr :( nevertheless, satisfying (:

Then, it was time for the announcement of the 2nd runner up.

This time, we were all linked, squeezing each others' hands, muttering OMGs, fidgeting anxiously, but yet smiling for the cameras. Haha ;)

OHMYGOODNESS. EVERYONE JUST BROKE INTO TEARS (OF JOY).
Felt a moment of over anxiety, and delirious.
Couldn't believe it. Just closed my eyes, and tears started flowing.
It was..
Unbelievable.

Ahhh. Overjoyed; like no word can describe.

Didn't realize he was that goodlooking till I asked him whether we take a pic with him.

So tired later on. Have been having late nights. BLEH :( Mom brought us for a satisfying 2hour facial after the competition & celebration. Ahhh. We deserved it ;) Lol.

Cheerleading clinic tomorrow at Geodesic Dome; 2-5pm. Go if you wanna improve on your stunts, routine, etc. But you gotta sign up beforehand, so yeah. I'm not going though. Bleh! (:

Checked out some cheerleading routines and vids on Youtube with XiaoWen & NiWen. Hahah a family of cheerleaders (: Was in awe. Posted up some of my favourite vids! Get ready to be dumbfounded ;)

OMGGGG :| I despise this little girl. Haha! Amazing little ball of muscles and velocity. Gila kan? :|

No safely precautions! They barely have spotters to spot the extended elevators who CARRY other flyers. It's not allowed here though. Not that we can achieve that height! Haha :P
